The e-Learning Centre provides knowledge through online courses to create for participants a common approach to Mountain Warfare. This broadens our teaching topics regarding the mountain environment, creates more opportunities to get access to our expertise and allows more time for practical work during residential courses by preparing the students in advance with insights on Mountain Warfare.

Introduction to Mountain Warfare Operations
This course is set to provide basic knowledge and understanding on planning and conducting military operations in difficult mountain terrain and in a multinational environment.
Mountain Cell Fundamentals
This e-learning course provides an overview of the Mountain Cell concept, explaining its purpose, organization, functions, and contribution to military planning in mountainous environment.
UAS Fundamentals for Mountain Warfare
This introductory e-learning course provides a common baseline on the role and impact of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in mountain warfare. It explores how drones are reshaping reconnaissance, manoeuvre, command and control, force protection, sustainment and survivability in complex mountain environments.
The course is designed as a pre-course learning package for military personnel and civilian experts attending NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence activities. It is not a pilot-training course, but a concise operational introduction intended to prepare participants for more advanced residential training at the Centre.
Recommendations: for technical reasons we recommend participants to register their names without special characters and to take the course on a PC with a comfortable large screen, especially when taking the quizzes, and with an up-to-date internet browser. If the name on the certificate is misaligned or special characters are missing, the user must address the Admin through the Contact Us page or the provided POC by e-mail (you will see below if logged in).
